Sprocket Theatre is recruiting for a co-producer to join their team in taking THE RULES: SEX, LIES & SERIAL KILLERS to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August, 2015.
download the job description here. The ideal candiate will be highly motivated, resourceful and excited to get stuck in with the unique challenges and opportunities of taking a show to the Fringe. Working alongside artistic director Lila Whelan, responsibilities will include: · fundraising for the show (crowdfunding, trusts and grants, fundraising events) · press, PR and marketing · coordinating and collaborating with the production team · budget management THE RULES: SEX, LIES & SERIAL KILLERS Psychopaths Jay, Mel and Steven meet up once in a while to unwind, hang up their guns and let their hair down - within a few guidelines established for their protection and anonymity of course. But when the innocent Teresa enters their world, loyalties are tested and the rules start to get broken, one by one. And when serial killers break the rules, the consequences can be a little...messy. But hey, rules are made to be broken, aren't they? SPROCKET THEATRE Sprocket was established in 2012 to create theatre that moves, challenges, haunts and entertains. We do this by working on all levels from a place of truth and positivity, engaging new and emerging talent, and ensuring women represent at least fifty per cent of each production – on and off stage. Previous productions include THE DEEP SPACE at the Old Red Lion Theatre, London (★★★★ Female Arts, ★★★★ The Public Reviews, ★★★★ Everything Theatre). Key Dates: Auditions: 1 & 2 June Film trailer: 13 June Rehearsals: 1 – 17 July (Weds-Sat)* Preview: week of 20 July (TBC) Travel to Edinburgh: 3 August Tech: 6 August Performances: 7 – 29 August * The producer will be expected to attend one rehearsal per week Hours: Part time with regular production meetings. Start date 23 May. You will also be expected to be part of the Edinburgh team for the duration of the festival Fee: A small fee is currently guaranteed.
